OPTIMISM AT I.S.R. AHEAD OF THE ROUND OF MISANO OF THE BLANCPAIN SPRINT SERIES
30/09/2015 - Preparation is underway at I.S.R. ahead of the round of Misano valid for the Blancpain Sprint Series, the only Italian round present in the calendar that will take place on the same track that housed official testing last March.

Marco Bonanomi (ITA) and Filip Salaquarda (CZ) will defend I.S.R. racing colors behind the wheel of the number 75 Audi R8 LMS, while Anders and Thomas Fjordbach (DNK) will compete on the number 74 car. After the growth shown in Portimao (PT), the team will get to the circuit named after Marco Simoncelli with the aim of displaying all its potential hoping for a weekend free of those episodes that have often affected the final result in this season.

The Italian round will be another chance to score important points in the Blancpain GT Series Team classification, where the team is currently tenth at 48 points, ten shy of the seventh place when four races are still to be run and 66 points to be awarded.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
"The round of Misano is going to be quite special. First of all, it will feature a nightly Qualifying Race that, due to the different temperatures compared to the other sessions, will require a specific tyre management strategy. Fans will enjoy a great spectacle that will revive the magical atmosphere of the 24 hours races even for a shorter time. This is also going to be Bonanomi's home race and he is well motivated to put in a strong run for his fans: I hope we will see him and Filip fighting for top positions, as well as Anders and Thomas in Silver Cup".

The weekend will kick off on Friday with two free practice sessions scheduled for local (GMT+2) 14:40 and 19:05. The three qualifying sessions on Saturday will begin at 14:00 and the Qualifying Race with headlights on will start at 20:45. The warm up will take place on Sunday morning at 8:50 while the Main Race at 14:00. Qualifying and races will go live on several international TV channels, while web live streaming will be available through the web site of the series at www.blancpain-gt-series.com
