I.S.R. RACING IN THE FIGHT FOR THE THIRD PLACE OF THE BLANCAPAIN GT SERIES TEAM AFTER THE ROUND OF MOSCOW
05/07/2015 - The race in Moscow, fourth round of the Blancpain Sprint Series 2015, ended with a result falling short of expectations for the Audi R8 LMS ultra of team I.S.R. racing, that is anyway still in the fight for the podium in the teams' championship.

The Czech team had its weekend spoiled by two episodes that compromised the result of its race, but is still in the fight for the third place of the Blancpain GT Series Team classification, that is still open when five rounds are still to go.

At the Moscow City Racing circuit, the lineup of the number 75 car made by Marco Bonanomi (ITA) and Filip Salaquarda (CZ) lived a weekend full of twists. After the fourth row earned in qualifying, the Qualiyfing Race has been spoiled by a drive through penalty for driving out of track limits, that relegated I.S.R. drivers to end in fourteenth position.

The chance to counter-charge in the Main Race vanished slightly before half way through, when Bonanomi was unfortunately involved in an incident with another car. The damage sustained by his Audi R8 LMS ultra forced the lineup to an early retirement.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
"We head back home from Moscow without much satisfaction. Marco and Filip had a good race pace, but the penalty unavoidably influenced the result of the Qualifying Race, while ahead of the contact in the Main Race we had the chance to counter charge and gain some points valid for the championship. Now the focus of the team will switch to the 24 Hours of Spa to try and get the most out of the double points awarded in this occasion".

Blancpain Sprint Series will resume after the summer break at the Portuguese circuit of Algarve from 4 to 6 September.
