BONANOMI AND SALAQUARDA CLOSE TO THE PODIUM IN ZANDVOORT'S FINAL ROUND OF THE BLANCPAIN SPRINT SERIES 2015
11/10/2015 - The Blancpain Sprint Series 2015 goes into archives with a positive Main Race run by Marco Bonanomi (ITA) and Filip Salaquarda (CZ), as the pairing ended I.S.R. racing's debut season in GT racing with a great result behind the wheel of the number 75 Audi R8 LMS ultra.

After the eleventh place obtained yesterday in qualifying race, the lineup read the race in the best way: Bonanomi has been very quick to get the lead in the first stint after a short neutralization period, while Salaquarda and his usual consistency took the car to the flag through the second stint crossing the finish line in fourth place, that was the best result of the team in this series.

A bit of disappointment for Michael Markussen (DK) and Anders Fjordbach (DK), who ended second in Silver Cup both in the qualifying race and in the main race on the number 74. These good results unfortunately have not been enough to close the gap to the top of the classification.

The main race was won by Vincent Abril and Maximilian Buhk (Bentley), that were followed by Christopher Mies and Robin Frijns (Audi) and by Frederic Vervisch and Nicki Thiim (Audi).

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
"We aimed to end our debut season in GT racing on a high and the fourth place in the Main Race obtained by Marco and Filip awards our efforts. We knew that it would have not been easy to recover sixteen points in Silver Cup, but Michael and Anders had a go at it anyway. This has been a tough year but also a very fruitful one for the team: we faced some new challenges and acquired a lot of experience that is going to be very handy in 2016".
