A COMEBACK RACE AT NÜRBURGRING ENDED I.S.R. RACING'S DEBUT SEASON IN BLANCPAIN ENDURANCE SERIES
20/09/2015 - The round of Nürburgring, final act of the Blancpain Endurance Series 2015, saw the R8 LMS ultra lined up by I.S.R. racing taking the limelight as one of the most competitive Audis on track.

Following the seventeenth time posted yesterday in qualifying, the lineup made by Marco Bonanomi (ITA), Filip Salaquarda (CZ) and Frederic Vervisch (BEL) gave its best on the circuit that has traditionally not favoured much the coupes of the four rings. In the first stint Bonanomi used all his experience to manage at best the car for the coming stages, ending his effort with a small gap. This allowed a Vervisch in great shape to push hard and get several positions back in the second hour; in the final stint Salaquarda put also in a solid run and a series of successful overtaking moves that awarded the team with the thirteenth final place, which was the fourth best Audi.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
"We knew that Nürburgring did not suit our car at best and we did not expect much more than what seen today on track. The balance of our debut season in such a high level championship of the likes of Blancpain Endurance Series is positive: our target was to build some experience in races that are very different from those we had run in the past years and, on the contrary to ten months ago, we are now ready to face some new challenges in the world of endurance racing".
